POPLAR LANE - MAIN

As our first new built under the brand SUMMIT Construction, this 3000 sq/ft two-story home made our team quite proud. The project started in the fall of 2018 and only took 7 months to complete. Like many SUMMIT Construction builds, this home adheres to Step 4 of the BC Energy Step Code, making it very efficient. Just one of the ways this was achieved is through the use of triple glazed windows, allowing the residents to enjoy plenty of natural light without sacrificing heat loss.

What added an extra challenge to this property was that the land was actually lower than the street. As a solution, a basement was added to the design of the home to reduce the need for costly fill from elsewhere.

Built For Generations

This three-story home was built for families. The main residence features 3 bedrooms and 2 1/2 bathroom, while the garage has a one-bedroom suite above it. The home was built with the intention to be a generational home, where the owner's parents can enjoy the comforts of their own suite while sharing the load of home ownership and remaining close to the family.

The father and son were also involved in the construction of the home as labourers, making it even more meaningful for this family.
